The annual Art Show at the Festival of the Forks opens the night before the main festival day. That Friday night, many Albionites come out, to view creations of Albion's most talented individuals. One of the favorites, is Natalie Gilham, who has here captured an Albion landmark from years past. This is the Albion Grain Elevator, whose presence in the Market Place, was known for over 100 years. (see more in the history pages for Albion.) This picture demonstrates that we value our past, but we are also preparing for the future. The elevator was recently torn down to make place for Albion's new Health Clinic, much needed after we lost our hospital. The new Health Clinic will be open before 2003. |
