Where could they be after all of these years?Sonnie's grandparents are the late Bill and Ethel Honeaker who lived on Athena Dr. I do remember how COLD it was there...of course PA is no warmer either....I'm ready for a few palm trees!! Its been a few years since I've been there to visit. I am trying to get some information on my relatives that are buried in the old Riverside--but, I can't quite get any where. My brother, grandmother and grandfather are buried there and I am trying to do a genealogical research on my family plus locate my father who disappeared from Albion in 1973. Would anyone know how I can obtain this information? I really appreciate any help that I can get. Thanks--Kathleen |

Name: Virginia Wakelin Rinehart Website: Referred by: Net Search From: Idaho Springs, Colorado Time: 1998-12-04 10:35:23 Comments: I grew up in Albion and would have graduated from Albion High School in 1946 but we moved to California and I graduated there and went on to college there. I'm looking up genealogical information on the origins of the Wakelin family as well as the Davis family. My grandfather Henry Wakelin built a house at 412 East Cass Street, where I grew up. Both my grandfather and grandmother, Mary Davis were buried in the mausoleum in the Albion Cemetery. I remember ice skating and swimming at facilities provided by the recreation department there and taking the family canoe out to NewBurg on the river. I also remember dropping a considerable amount of money (then) and having the fire department wade out to get it for me under the Cass Street bridge among lots of other memories. I'd enjoy hearing from any of my childhood friends, as well. |

Name: Livio Minino Website: Referred by: Just Surfed On In! From: SUNY Farmingdale, Farmingdale, NY Time: 1998-11-23 04:46:33 Comments: I do not know how certain I can narrow all the feelings that are going through me. I know that definetely I am extremely happy that I found this site, and I had a chance to go through it. I feel as if this was not only a casuality of life. I used to live in 612 South Eaton, Albion, MI. I know I shouldn't be uncovering my personal data but so be it. I lived there for a year, and I had wonderful times there. Albion to me is the second home that I'll always have. And I know deep in my heart, 612 South Eaton St., Albion, MI will always be with me no matter where I end up tomorrow. I have to admit that my hosting family went through a lot along with me. Thank you mom, dad, sisters and brothers for letting me be part of your world. Thank you for taking me under your wings and protecting me from any danger. I know that some times it was rough, but even though times were tough, we still came through. I know that I am your son, and the love you gave me is my proof. Even though that my veins shout the name of my own ancestry, you, "HUNTS," will always be with me. May the Lord guide you in your future ways, in the name of JesusChrist our Lord, Amen. |
