Warm Colors
The artist used colored pencils and crayons on paper for this assignment. The teachers asked for each student to do a design using colors from either the "warm family" or the "cool family." This artist chose the "warm family" and thought that a "hot rod" would be a good subject for this color group. It was probably a hot day that he envisioned as well, so the background is also created using warm shades. Even the bird in the sky, and the trees, appear to be feeling the heat. The house in the background is almost shriveled up from the warmness of this picture.
