Starlight
Owl
The subject for this drawing
came from the story "Jackson the Owl." The artist used crayons
on black construction paper. As a result, the sky has a deep glow to it,
and is an effective backdrop for the bright stars and moon of the night
sky. The owl, who can see well in the dark, perches upon a branch and
has his eyes open looking for supper. The artist did a fine job of capturing
the feathers of the bird, and showing his outline against the night sky.
Artist: Shataria, 2nd grade
