ALBION COMMUNITY BAND CONCERTS
RETURN THIS SUNDAY
If you’re a lover of live music played by inspired
musicians, this announcement will put a grin on
your face. The Albion Community Band kicks off
its summer concert series at 7:30 p.m., on
Sunday, June 15 at the Bandshell in Victory Park
(between Hannah and Haven Roads in Albion).
The conductor for this concert will be Mr. Scott
McMeeking, director of bands for the Homer
Schools. Other concert dates include: June 29,
July 15 and July 27. The concerts are free and
the public is invited to come out and enjoy the
sounds. This is also a great family activity.
Come
enjoy the music in Victory Park at 7:30 p.m. at the victory
Park
Bandshell on the following dates: June 16, June 30, July 14,
July 28.
Guest conductors this season: Mark Garberich, Director of Bands
at Spring Arbor College & Jan Fourn, director of Bands at
Jackson Catholic Middle School.
The
Albion Community Band is for instrumentalists of all ages and
abilities. We have two rehearsals: Thursdays before the concerts
at the High School Band Room from 7:00 - 9:15 p.m. A warm-up rehearsal
is held Sunday concert nights from 6-7 p.m. Concerts are held
rain or shine. Bandshell or Hockey pavilion.
