This story of the computers for Kobryn, Belarus, is like the "Butterfly Effect" in how one small event can lead to changes on the other side of the world.....

Background: The "Albion Michigan Home page" was started by Maggie LaNoue in 1994, and started under the domain name AlbionMich.com in 1995. Similar web sites were started by Maggie for the cities of Battle Creek, Marshall, Homer and Jackson Michigan. The interconnected web sites are called the Connected Communities of Mid-Michigan.

Maggie encouraged Albion Historian Frank Passic to contribute his history writings to the site in 2001, and web developer Robin James to help keep Frank's prolific writings indexed and adapted into web pages. (read about the team) ...

Over the years, hundreds of people have written to Frank with questions about their geneology, or questions about historical Albion, including some infamous characters such as the Purple Gang...

This has led to the recent development of the "Albion History Blog" where questions are posted publicly. One of the more recent articles that Frank has written was about the fate of the WW II merchant ship "Albion Victory."

A Scottish man shared information about the "Albion Victory", named after Albion College. The news of the ship involved pirates, and a story that was shown on national television in South Africa.
