Been living in Albion for a life time, we would like to hear from old friends. We are trying to locate Ron Coon, who graduated from Albion College in the mid '70s. Last known address was somewhere in Germany. Ron lived with us off campus, his senior year in college and we would like very much to find our long lost "son". We are also looking for more Gladney's, if you are out there somewhere, please let us know where you are! Tom & Barbara Gladney P.O. Box 452 Albion, Michigan 49224

Hello Albion. Great seeing my small hometown being on the Net. I am a graduate of Homer High in 1969 and Michigan State in 1973. I would love to hear from any fellow grads.

I spent nine months in Albion as a native speaker at Albion College. I really had a great time, although Albion is pretty small. I'd love to come back some time and have a few drinks at Cascarelli's. Greetings to everyone who knows me, esp. Mr. Noordhoorn and Mrs. Baumgartner!!

Hello Albion!! Since graduating from AHS in '80, I've spent the last 12 years in Europe, travelling to 25 countries and finally coming back to the culture shock of Las Vegas. Miss the small town atmosphere of Albion, looking forward to a visit. Great job on the home page!!!

Bille Wickre became a pal while she was here in Glasgow, getting her Ph.D. on the Glasgow Girls artists..She now teaches at the college. I am from LaCrescenta, California, a suburb of L.A., but I'd like to see Albion one of these days, especially as a 17-year resident of Glasgow, just to be in the old country, in a place as civil-sounding as Albion would be a benison! By the way, I believe BERNARD SHAW was ACTUALLY the first to utter the phrase attributed to the late Robert Kennedy; (and I DO mean G. bernard shaw, NOT the CNN anchorman!). Anyway, very best wishes to all past, present and future Albionites!!!

Nice homepage! The Public Library's site is fantastic. Grew up in Homer in '60's-70's. Now at a public library in Iowa. Fun to get "close to home" on the web.

Io Triumphe! What a great page to come across. Looking forward to my class reunion next month in Albion. I'm working for the Department Store Division of Dayton Hudson Corporation (Dayton's, Hudson's, Marshall Field's) here in Minneapolis in Marketing. It seems as each year goes by I appreciate my Albion education more and more.

What a pleasant surprise to find the "Guest Book"...great idea. Also pretty cool to see some familiar names again. It certainly has had its ups and downs but Albion was a great place to grow up!

I'm a student at Albion College. I'd just like to say that I love it here! The college community has made me feel at home and welcome here. The environment here reminds me a lot of that of the Adirondacks (without the mountains). Victory Park is breathtaking, it's one of the best parks I've ever seen in a city of Albion's size. Darrin

Hello -- My wife Audrey and I are trying to find a distant relative: Albert E Peters, whose last know address was 117 Irwin Avenue in Albion. Does anyone have any news of him or his wife or brother? If so, please email me. Congratulations on being on the Web. Links like yours add some real excitement to the genealogical search. John

Whoops. I know editors are supposed to correct errors, not make them, but after 12 years away from Albion, I guess i goofed: James Diedrick and Geoffrey Cocks. That's what previous message should have said. The writer regrets the error.

Hi. I graduated from Albion in 1984 and was editor of The Albion Evening Recorder, which became The Albion Recorder while I was there. I stayed until Aug. 1985, when I went to Columbia University to become a better journalist. The sad part about leaving a town you used to write about is that you never find out how things turned out. Did the downtown ever come back to life? Did the small-business incubator ever create new and successful businesses or manufacturers? Did the city keep its city-manager form of government? And is the Festival of the Forks still a big event? Just wondering. Will someone let me know. ... And what's this about Albion's football team. I never thought Albion could have a great team (no offense to the teams of the early '80s.) I hope someone can answer my questions. Thanks. P.S. I'm an editor for The Times of Northwest Indiana and am in charge of the Valparaiso edition of the paper, The Vidette Times. VU is a fine college but it can't compare to Albion or some of the great, really great teachers I had there: James Diedrich, Hal Wyss, Dr. Crupi, Geoff Cock, but those are just a few.
